LUBBOCK, TX and LAFAYETTE, CO (December 1, 2020) — bulb is honored to partner with iCEV to provide Career and Technical Education students with a digital means to showcase their skillset and work. This spring, iCEV users will have access to bulb Digital Portfolios and pre-made project templates.
bulb is an easy-to-use tool empowering teachers to engage and assess students in-person and remotely. Students can take notes, complete assignments, and demonstrate their academic growth on bulb’s digital platform. The partnership will include iCEV providing all users access to bulb Digital Portfolios and our new iCEV project templates for the spring of 2021. Choosing from more than 50 pre-built templates, teachers can assign more interactive and creative projects within bulb >for iCEV’s most popular courses.
“At bulb, we choose to partner with organizations that align with our mission of providing a creative platform that helps students shine in school, on the job, and wherever their passions lead them, said Scott Willingham, Chief Revenue Officer at bulb. “iCEV has a long history of providing students with the preparation they need to successfully transition from K-12 to post-secondary studies and future career success. We are thrilled to be able to support this effort through the use of our digital portfolios.
The concepts learned in Career and Technical Education courses are often challenging to highlight on paper. Using bulb, students can demonstrate their knowledge and skills through hands-on examples. Additionally, students can display their written work while exhibiting their industry certifications and credentials.
With bulb, students can now showcase their best iCEV work anytime, anywhere, regardless if they’re in class or remote. Their accomplishments are now a visible representation that will allow them to stand out among their peers.
“We are excited to offer our users bulb,” said Megan O’Quinn, iCEV’s Vice President of Brand Management. “We believe this partnership will help students creatively express their abilities while allowing employers to identify well-trained applicants.”
bulb accounts will go with students throughout their future endeavors. Once students have built their digital portfolios, they can utilize the online platform to display their work when applying for internships, colleges, and jobs. Students can demonstrate the technical knowledge and skills learned within their courses utilizing documents, videos, audio, and other digital means. As students obtain more examples of their work, they can update their portfolios.
