Bath, England – (December 5, 2019) — bulb Digital Portfolios wins Tech & Learning Award for “Best Use for a Product in a District” for solving problems in classrooms and demonstrating its product uniqueness in the k-12 market.
The winners of the 2019 annual Awards of Excellence contest will be featured in the December/January 2020 issue of Tech & Learning Magazine, and they will be invited to an exclusive reception during the TCEA Convention & Exposition in February 2020 in Austin, Texas.
“For 40 years, Tech & Learning has reported on how edtech products are improving teaching and learning,” says Tech & Learning Group Publisher Christine Weiser. “In keeping with this mission, our 2019 Awards of Excellence contest focused on stand-out products that are both unique in the K-12 market, as well as those that are helping schools solve specific problems. Judges evaluated a variety of nominated products and selected those products that are improving the way educators work and students learn.”
Winners were selected from four categories:
bulb displayed exceptional ability to measure competencies and create equity in learning. Challenging grades and test scores, digital portfolios give students an open platform to use passions, creativity and expressions to show—not tell—their potential. Thus the product shows a dramatic increase in engagement in and out of the classroom, while helping students build skills for life.
bulb is being used in classrooms for projects, lesson planning, professional development, personalized learning and career planning—all while documenting and storing the evidence of learning. Schools/districts that begin a digital portfolio initiative are giving teachers and students a tool they can use for life. Digital portfolios are used to build a competitive edge for an individual. Schools and districts are using digital portfolios to set their own competitive edge and standards.
